// q-day has a doorman

Three heads.
One gate.

Every Solana address is an ed25519 public key. When a quantum computer can break that curve, every wallet becomes an open door. QERBERUS puts three heads on it: a quantum lock on every withdrawal, a Zcash payout funded by fees, and a bunker leash that holds every withdrawal long enough for you to stop it.

Is your public key already out?

Quantum attacks need your public key, not your address. On Solana they are the same thing. On Bitcoin and Ethereum, the key is revealed the first time you spend or send from that address. Paste any address to see where you stand. It's read-only and no wallet connection is needed.

01 / HEADS$ qerb heads --list

Everyone else built one head.
A guard dog needs three.

Quantum, Zcash and bunker mode each have their own coins, and every one of those coins covers only one of the three. QERBERUS fuses them into a single vault, and each head has a single job.

QUANTUM

LOCK.

$ qerb lock --one-time

Your hot wallet can deposit but can't withdraw. Every withdrawal needs a one-time hash-based signature (WOTS+). Its security rests on SHA-256, not on elliptic curves.

  • signature covers coin, amount and destination
  • each key is used once, then burned
  • the next key is revealed only when needed

ZCASH

PAYOUT.

$ qerb pile --sweep 5m

Creator fees on $Qerberus are swept every few minutes, swapped from SOL to ZEC, and added to the Bone Pile. Holders get paid in ZEC and can withdraw to a shielded address.

  • 60% of fees go to the Bone Pile
  • live treasury balance, signed epochs
  • a shielded address keeps payouts private

LEASH.

$ qerb leash --hold 24h

Every withdrawal waits on a leash, 24 hours by default. If you didn't start it, one bark cancels it. A drainer has to beat both the lock and the clock.

  • leash: off, 1h, 24h or 7d
  • up to 4 trusted destinations
  • bark alerts on X and Telegram
02 / LEASH$ qerb leash --demo

Sign the fake airdrop. Then bark.

A drainer tricks your hot wallet into signing. Without a bunker, the funds are gone in one block. With QERBERUS, the withdrawal sits on the leash. In this demo, 24 hours runs as 20 seconds.

What the dog does and doesn't guard.

  • Drainer signatures. Your hot wallet can't withdraw from the kennel.
  • Instant theft. Every withdrawal waits out the leash, and you can bark.
  • Quantum forgery of withdrawals. Each withdrawal is authorized by a hash-based one-time key.
  • Changed destinations. The signature covers coin, amount and recipient.
  • Solana itself. The chain still runs on ed25519, and only kennel withdrawals are quantum-locked.
  • A lost recovery kit. Nobody can reset it, including us.
  • Unaudited code. This is a public preview. Start small.
  • The ZEC price. The Bone Pile is real ZEC, and its USD value moves.
CORRECTIONAn earlier draft of this page said "quantum-proof". Nothing is proof against everything. The right word is quantum-resistant, and it applies only to kennel withdrawals.

Questions at the gate.

What is Q-Day?

Q-Day is the day a quantum computer can derive private keys from public keys on elliptic curves like secp256k1 and ed25519. Nobody knows when it comes. Assets whose public keys are already on-chain are the first in line.

Why are Solana wallets "fully exposed"?

A Solana address is the raw ed25519 public key, base58-encoded. Bitcoin and Ethereum addresses are hashes of the key, so the key stays hidden until you spend or send from that address. On Solana, it's public from day one.

What does "quantum lock" actually mean here?

Funds in the kennel can only leave with a one-time signature built from SHA-256 hash chains (WOTS+). Hash-based signatures are considered quantum-resistant. Your normal wallet can deposit but can't authorize a withdrawal.

Where does the ZEC come from?

From $Qerberus creator fees. A keeper sweeps them, swaps SOL to ZEC, and records each epoch with a signature. 60% goes to the Bone Pile, 30% to the bug bounty, and 10% to operations.

Is this audited?

No, it isn't. Treat it as a public preview and don't put in anything you can't afford to lose. When the bounty opens, its size will be posted publicly.
